Divorce issues complicated after Florida man burns cross

Divorce is difficult enough when it is mutually agreed upon by both spouses. But issues such as the division of assets and child custody arrangements may be harder to resolve when one spouse does not want the marriage to end. Indeed, some people will resort to desperate attempts in a bid to keep the marriage alive. That appears to have been the case with one Florida man, whose bid to prevent divorce attracted national attention.

Custody and visitation ideas to help kids during the holidays

Compared to other parts of the country, the holidays are always somewhat unconventional in Orange County, Florida. While December snow may fall throughout parts of the country, in Orlando we usually enjoy more moderate temperatures. However, one thing that remains constant in every region during the holidays is that they can be difficult and tumultuous times for the children of parents who are engaged in child custody disputes. For children, this time of year may be especially confusing or uncomfortable when it comes to dealing new visitation schedules and time sharing among parents.

Although the full list of details has yet to be determined, it appears that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will have a high asset divorce. Still, many Florida residents are wondering specifically which assets are up for division. Readers of this blog may recall that the reality TV star and NBA player married in a multimillion dollar August ceremony and appear to have signed a prenuptial agreement. But barely 72 days later, on Halloween no less, Kardashian filed for divorce. The family of Humphries claims the husband was completely blindsided by his new wife's actions and is said to be devastated by the turn of events. Surprise or no surprise, the high asset divorce proceedings are on, and it remains to be seen how complicated the division of assets will be.
